Over 6,000 beneficiaries of “Makkah Route” initiative depart from Malaysia to Makkah

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 June – A total of 6,282 beneficiaries of the “Makkah Route” Initiative departed from Malaysia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the initiative lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The launch of the Makkah Route Initiative in Malaysia this year 1443 AH comes as a continuation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to facilitate Hajj, and the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the HRH Crown Prince to take care of the pilgrims.

A total of 6,282 beneficiaries of the “Makkah Route” Initiative departed from Malaysia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. (SPA)

The Makkah Route Initiative, one of the initiatives to serve the pilgrims, is one of the programs of the Kingdom Vision 2030, aims to complete the procedures for the pilgrims from their countries, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking the prints, and the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to the luggage coding and sorting according to transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Upon their arrival, they move directly to buses to take them to their places of residence in Makkah and Madinah by designated paths, while the service agencies deliver their luggage to their homes. — SPA
