KUALA LUMPUR: In a significant move, MATRADE, the Malaysia’s trade promotion agency, is set to lead the participation of 80 prominent Malaysian companies and 5 government agencies at the highly anticipated Gulfood 2024 exhibition in Dubai, UAE. The Malaysian delegation will be led by YB Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Chairman of MATRADE. This effort underscores Malaysia’s commitment to showcasing its diverse and innovative food and beverage industry on the global stage.

Gulfood, recognized as the world’s largest annual food and beverage trade exhibition, presents a prime opportunity for Malaysian businesses to network, forge partnerships, and showcase their exceptional products and services. With MATRADE at the helm, the Malaysian exhibitors is poised to make a resounding impact at this influential event.

According to MATRADE’s Chairman, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, “Gulfood 2024 in Dubai serves as a vital platform for industry players to engage with key stakeholders, gain valuable insights, and explore new avenues for growth.” He further added, “The participation of 80 Malaysian companies and 5 government agencies, not only highlights the nation’s commitment to fostering international trade but also exhibits the rich and diverse offerings within Malaysia’s F&B industry.”

Various products such as sauces & pastes, spices & condiments, frozen products, ready-to-eat meals, confectionery, snacks, beverages, palm oil and others will be promoted at the event. These diverse product offerings are set to capture he international audience and reinforce Malaysia’s position as one of the leading player in the global F&B market.

Furthermore, the participation of 5 government agencies underscores the nation’s concerted effort to provide comprehensive support and resources to its F&B enterprises, facilitating their expansion into international markets. This collaborative endeavour exemplifies the Malaysian government’s dedication to propelling the growth and success of its F&B sector.
