Malaysia recorded the highest number of Covid-19 daily cases today, 23 January with 4,275 cases, the Ministry of Health announced. It said the new cases include 11 imported cases.
This takes the total number of cases in the country up to 180,455 cases, with 42,769 active cases at public hospitals and quarantine centres.
The Ministry of Health announced 7 new deaths today, making the Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia at 667 with a death percentage of 0.4%.
It also announced a record high number of recovered cases with 4,313, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Malaysia up to 137,019. Recovery rate is at 75.9%.
MOH said there are currently 260 patients being treated at intensive care units, with 103 patients in need of ventilator support.
