KUWAIT, 9 June – The Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Thursday visiting Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha and his accompanying delegation at Seif Palace.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Abdulaziz Dakheel Al-Dakheel, and Kuwait’s Consul General in Jeddah Wael Al-Hathal Al-Enezi, KUNA reported.
The Secretary General also met with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, as both sides discussed the OIC’s future activities as well as the latest international and regional developments, challenges the Muslim world is facing and issues of mutual interest.
Kuwait has been a member of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation since its foundation in 1969 and it hosted the 42nd meeting for OIC foreign ministers in 2015, and was a leading party in many initiatives by the organisation.
