Dubai’s Global Village opens on 25 October with brand new attractions

DUBAI, 5 August – Global Village is back with “season 27” which will open on October 25 this year, organisers of the family destination said in an announcement on Thursday.

The venue will feature 27 pavilions as an ode to the season, and will also see the presence of two new pavilions – Qatar and Oman.

The other country pavilions include, UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Africa, Americas, China, Egypt, Europe, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Yemen, Russia.

Each of these pavilions will offer visitors arts and crafts, national foods, entertainment and products from the country or region.

“Global Village has been a regional and international phenomenon for over two decades, helping cement Dubai as a global hub for entertainment and tourism,” Dubai Holding Entertainment’s chief operating officer Mohamed Sharaf said.

Sharaf added that planning and construction is on track for the opening.

“The Al Sana’a and Khalifa Foundation pavilions will also be returning with local entrepreneurs taking advantage of the Global Village platform to grow their businesses, allowing guests to be amongst the first to discover the latest products,” the organisers said in a statement.

A new concept, titled ‘Road of Asia’ will also be introduced and will feature 43 kiosks, offering exclusive products who are not represented through the 27 pavilions.

The kiosks will be set up by 13 Asian countries Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Philippines.

Global Village is located on Exit 37 of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in Dubailand. — Arabian Business
